I scoured the internet today to look for people with the random crashing. I did several things, try different drivers, reformatted. All while being unable to login. I talked to some friends today that told me to check the event viewer. This was shown repeatedly all night:

The description for Event ID 3 from source NvStreamSvc cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

    NvStreamSvc
    Stopped [0]

Another error that would popped up on event viewer was this:

Faulting application name: ffxiv.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x521be282
Faulting module name: ffxiv.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x521be282
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x0027cc76
    Faulting process id: 0x10c4
    Faulting application start time: 0x01cea84a929c07be
    Faulting application path: D:\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\ffxiv.exe
    Faulting module path: D:\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\ffxiv.exe
    Report Id: 1c822728-1450-11e3-be6f-bc5ff49c5dd7
    Faulting package full name:
    Faulting package-relative application ID:

What I was told to do was get driver sweeper, and uninstall all the video drivers. once I restarted, I installed the latest drivers. Crossing fingers. This would happen literally every 5mins, sometimes sooner depending on the driver i tried. Hoping this works for me.

First search result on this pops up with an error regarding Windows 8 and Nvidia 326.41 beta drivers. You could attempt to disable the NvStreamSvc on your machine to see if that helps but that service is responsible for streaming game content to Nvidia's Shield handheld.

Anyhow to disable just do Windows Key + R and type in "services.msc" and look for NVIDIA Streamer Service; right click it and do properties and click stop to stop the service.

Attempt to play the game and if that solves your issues then just do the above but change the "Startup type:" to Manual or Disabled.
