I think some armor should be restricted to certain classes and some should be open season.

Sarcasm? As Gear is currently meaningless and doesn't mend well for upcoming job changes. Dress up is cool and all, but we need requirements to work towards which in turn creates goals.

Well i mean...you can get the armor using another class and just equip it at level 1 because its using optimal rank instead of required. I don't see how it'd suddenly stop being a goal when every class can wear it (even though i dont think every class should be able to wear it for different reasons).

It's funny...that low level robe is actually better than most "mage" gear that's a higher level than that...

Heh isn't that how most games do it that have NM like things? You get better gear from them, look at the ninja boots that were still usable by high level ninjas from the rabbit outside starter town.

Lucky guess, I am. I have 2 characters infact on different servers, one on Besaid that is mostly for Rp and another on Trabia (My main) that is for doing endgame stuff.

This isn't really a restriction as its standard in all MMOs aside from this one and unfortunately the majority of people, based on forum posts, would want some restriction on armor in the form of level and class restrictions so they have a goal to work towards. There's no fun in being able to wear rank 50 armor at rank 1, make me work towards it.

And this is only part of patch 1.17.

And 1.17 is only 70% of the content coming over the next couple weeks.
