Extreme lag when playing the game.

I am having problems with lag when playing the game. I will sit on a menu or try to complete a levequest and the game will not respond. I cannot use skills, etc. either. There is a 10-20 second lag between any command I send to the server and getting a reply.

I am not experiencing any other problems with my connection, I can play other games just fine without lag. I only experience this problem with FFXIV ARR.

I ping the NA/EU server and get an average latency of 62ms, and a 1% packet loss.

I am logging into the Goblin server.

I have the same problem. Its was all fine until about 12 hours ago. Now the lag doesn't go away.

I am also having extreme lag since about 12 hours ago. I had numerous R0 and disconnects.

any idea? i'm pretty sure it's not from my broadband/isp coz i tested several speedtest sites and tried other games.

oh thanks god! i really thought im the only one having this severe delay issue, been searching the net for help eversince. seriously whats up with this sudden delay issue? i had no problem at all with the game up until 12hours or more ago. is it the population or something else? im on leviathan btw.

Does your IP throttle P2P services, some people have been complaining about that causing extreme lag.

No, my ISP is a small local ISP, not something big like comcast or whatever. I've spoken with them and they're not throttling anything. I did not have this problem in B4, it started on the night of the 25th and has been going on and off since then.

Also, when I get this lag my chat works fine but even small things like botany or mining will lag.

Im getting the same thing.. Receive pings between 1000 - 3000. I created a character on the JP server and my pings are in the normal range.

I've been getting this since Sunday afternoon/evening. Sometimes when I log in everything will be normal and then the lag spikes get progressively worse as I play. Restarting my router/cable modem/pc/client doesn't seem to have any positive effect on it. Consistently the receive drops down to zero during the spike (which is anywhere between 2-30 seconds).

Other online games, streaming services, downloads, etc work just fine on multiple PCs and devices in my apartment. I tried setting up port fowarding but that didn't seem to have any effect on it either.
