    [Suggestion] Rank(Level) Sync

    Everything expressed is opinion.

Hello everyone! I'm Axl, I would like to bring to your attention the concept of bringing level sync (referring to rank as level for the purpose of this thread) to FFXIV. One thing I do not like about this game, is that I am unable to play with my friends who are at lower ranks, and the only way for me to level a class up is in one or two areas, and usually the skill points aren't even worth while. I believe that this system would be a perfect edition to the game, and would dramatically increase playability.

It's as easy as putting in the party option to sync to a player (Usually with the lowest rank), adjusting your stats, equipment, and sp/exp gain down to the same level as the person you're synced to.

I honestly think you should be able to group up no matter what ranks you are, and without a penalty. If someone rank 1 is grouping up with r30 freinds - first of all congratulations for having so many cool friends. Second of all, why should there be a penalty for wanting to be with your friends in the game? I've had so many times a party of r40's was going on in my guild, and being in my 20's or 30's they wouldn't let me join. Usually in a game if someone is low level, they might die faster and not be as strong starting out, but they should level up rapidly until they taper off as they get closer to the higher ranks. There is still plenty of story quests and items to craft and places to explore. Seems like it's a chore going through all the motions to rank up and that gets in the way of enjoying the rest of the game.

I think this is something that is needed in the game. FFXI did this really well and it's the reason I got back into playing that game after so much time away... Having a level sync is important, and a great idea for parties who want to use it... It's not something required to play the game, but I think it will be key as the game grows as well as players want to group with their friends come the PS3 launch.

No thanks, the system was broken in FF11 and really doesn't need to be implemented in FF14 really. Basically people want to mob grind with their friends when SE needs to focus on way more important stuff, like a working UI and a fixed battle/class system.
