1) Can I transfer leader status or make a rank that has the same privilege as the leader?

2) How do you rank up an FC?

Hello Aldrin!

1) Yes you can transfer leader status. I believe you can also make a rank with all other leader priviledges than promoting / denoting FC leader status.

2) You rank up FC by members doing in game events such as quests. There's some information about it here.

3) You talk to FC NPC at a Grand Company. You ask for a FC petition and get 3 other players to sign it (for example by clicking their name on your friend list and selecting the option). There seems to be no level or other requirements. When you have signatures from 3 other players, you talk to the NPC again to hand in the petition and pay 15 000 gil. Then you have a free company.
