Yeah, it is possible to keep a tank alive through Death Sentances without cooldowns but he must be topped off, and have somewhere between 6000-7000 HP. I believe Death Sentance is counted as a spell, so only the more powerful Virus from SMN and SCH should affect it.
Death Sentence can be blocked/parried/evaded. If you're having issues with your tank dying a lot, consider doing tank swaps once s/he is out of cooldowns.

We always keep Rain of Death up through that phase of the fight and have a tank use a CD on each Death Sentence to reduce the healing stress. We also do use both tanks during this phase, provoking when Death Sentence begins casting.

Death Sentence has hit our tank for 6.2k before. The problem with this ability is that Twintania can use an auto-attack at exactly the same time, and there's nothing you can do about it. Your best bet is to mitigate it as much as possible with tank cooldowns, virus rotations, rain of death etc.
Also if your WHM can time Cure II right they can get in an "ungimped" Cure II right as Death Sentence hits since the debuff effect has a slight delay to it. The window for this is really short though.
We've been running Turn 5 for a few hours. We're still stuck at conflags not because of mechanic but mostly because of lack of DPS. We're doing 4 buff on the boss and that usually give us 15 seconds on the first conflag which is far enough time to kill it. But when it comes to the second conflag, after running a macro that starts a timer on my second monitor, it seems that the conflag blows up after 10 to 12 seconds with only 4 buffs. Losing that 3 seconds more of dps hurts us a lot. If it wasn't for it, we wouldn'T have a problem.
then again, even if running the timer, if we could dps more, thing's wouldn't but much of a problem (we're only like 5% off). Just wanted to know if anyone notice a reduce timer on the conflag.
(also have only 1 BRD item drop in nearly 2 months freaking blows, specially when you have 2 to gear)
Even conflags (2, 4, 6, etc...) are shorter than odd conflags (1, 3, 5, etc...).

Ah that would explain a lot then! Sadly we never really got further than the third conflag since well... people died on the second conflag. So my guess would be to have a 3buff fireball before the second conflag to give us more time. The second tank + EoS and the targetted person (with stoneskin + magic resistance on them) would give them more chance to survive
Then again, it could just be a gear problem, which is most likely also the case.

If you can't manage a 4 stack of Waxen Flesh, you probably can't beat enrage.Ah that would explain a lot then! We use 4 people per fireball, you just need to prepare your cooldowns to burn the conflag ASAP.Ah that would explain a lot then! This.
Don't use any CD for Odd conflag, and pop all CD for Even conflag. You should see Odd's die in ~7 GCD and the Even's die in ~5 GCD.
I can't say for other classes but for MNK for the quick conflags you'd:
Pop Blood 4 Blood as soon as Fireball lands (this allows it to be up for 2 and 4 conflag) and Internal Release. Hold your WS for when Conflag appears, WS -> Howling Fist -> WS -> Steel Peak -> WS -> WS -> Mercy Stroke (if DPS is in) -> WS
