Standing on his foot and moving out of range once the red zone appears worked for me. Could be lag from the clusterfudge that NA server datacentre has?

After playing these dungeons during beta it's really nice to now see how they are tied into the main storyline ^^

Thanks. This worked. Standing as close to the boss as possible and running straight through its hit box was working far better than running out of it to the side, despite the two methods visibly appearing to be just as distant from the attack. Thank you!
