I have faith in the development team, otherwise I wouldn't have chosen this as my first stepping stone into a subscription online game. I've seen their dedication and hard work through various sources and I have done my research the past year. While there is down time, I'm just doing my college work, waiting patiently for the developers to fix what needs to be fixed. It's best to be positive and give the devs the respect and appreciation, because really now, if you want to be always negative about something and think about negative things, it's just spreading sadness and it creates a dark atmosphere. Paladins will purge the darkness! I'm proud to be a White Knight, like Cecil Harvey! Like Cecil who was once a Dark Knight, you guys who shoot down the positive people will soon become White Knights in the future!![]()
Treat others the way you want to be treated. Respect is key!

After reading this Thread: click
I think it is time for the "Positive" Threads to come back out of the "graveyard".
Not only that i still enjoy the Game since i made this Thread, i enjoy it even more. Nothing for me have changed, but being thankful for creating such an epic Gaming-Experience. I am not talking about Content/Patches/Updates/flaws and whatnot, this is simply about having a good experience with mates and friends.
I've been playing since the very first 1.0 Alpha and i seriously miss a lot of things, which would improve 2.0 even more. But all of those things are minor things and would not change the "flow" of the Game, which i obviously enjoy. Square & Yoshi-P are pulling out more and more Content and allready working on the Expansion. They do it faster than other Dev's and they give us better Content, which is subjective btw. What i like about the Game, probably are not liked by other and vise versa.
What people forget, they are not only doing that for their Company, they do that also for the Gamers. They do want to create a Game, us the Players can enjoy. And making people enjoy something is a hard task, since they can not please everyone. But the current Generation of Gamers is made of spoiled brats who want everyone cater to them as they want. "An invisible wall? Snap.. i quit, worst game ever"; Stuff like that not only annoys me, but is not nice to read being a Developer. They need positive Feedback like they also need constructive critism. But a lot people mix being a negative nancy with giving contructive Feedback. There is a HUGE difference, since you can give constructive critism also in a positive way, while being negative is simply that; negative.
For now i enjoy every single piece of the Content and i play all of the Content, not only the raids. I gather, i craft, i fish, go out have fun with my mates doing vanity hard-mode runs just for shit and giggles. Going out for T1 to T5, doing ex, explore, simply sit there and enjoy the environment and so on. I am totally pleased, even if i would like certain things in the Game like a Dynamis-like Event. That would be like the topping of an allready nice piece of Cake. I am looking forward to more Jobs/Areas/Quests/Dungeons and whatever else SE has up their sleeve. 2.0 has a pretty solid and great Base, now its up to SE to build on top of that. This only works together with the community tho, which people seem to forget.
sshhh <_< I could have make a new Thread, but this Topic hardly is dead. So...

This is why i did "necro" it tho.Yoshida:
It's not that we don't want people to complain. It's just that we would be really happy if we could see a lot of comments from people who are having fun too. That way you'd get more people interested in playing, and at the end of the day the players could end up creating a better gaming environment for themselves too.

Yeah this game is amazing Yoshi-P and SE did amazing job making this game (remaking) , I have never love an MMO like this before great job and I can't wait to see what you do with the game to come, thank you so much for making this game.
I am a bit surprised to see most people wanting this to be such a black or white problem. Only siths think this way
On the one hand, the game has a lot going for it. Lore is incredible, storyline is great when not in fillers, lots of pranks and jokes all around, gameplay is fun mostly, there are challenging bosses, but not impossible ones, progression curve is extremely well done.
On the other hand, there are some stupid bullshit mistakes in there that makes me cringe my teeth because of what this game COULD be but is not yet.
1) Stupid achievements: seriously fun achievements for dungeons and raids for each boss add LOT of longetivity and cost zero dev, so why the hell do we have only bland useless achievements ?? The fuck i can do that in one day by myself !
2) Crafting irrelevant: They go out of their way to make one of the best crafting system in an AAA mmo, then throw it all out the window cause lol 2 tiers behind craft... What the hell dudes ? One tier i could see, or just drop stuff from raids to craft some epics BiS like all other games do, there are plenty of ways around, but 2 tiers ? Who the hell did think this was even remotely a good idea ?
3) Economy completely bashed: because they somehow did not predict that putting houses at those prices would crash the market ?
4) Lack of fun itemization: again, a very good and iconic system (materia), put into the game, only to be guted through bland materias only and only 2 tier below gear being able to use materias... WHY ???
5) Raids in wrong orders... CT in 2.1 cause it was not ready in 2.0 is something i could understand, even if it is a legitimate reason to be mad. But now they will do the exact same with 2.3 all over again ? For whatever deity you believe in's sake, dude, what the heck ???
I can totally understand people mad at the game. It teases you with the potential awesomeness and then does some really ugly moves that are completely unneeded and just provoke even more frustration in players... So yeah, the game is great. But please stop the stupid decisions already and let's be serious now.

I had fun with this game back when I joined the beta in March of 2013 - one year later, I'm still having fun with it. Just keep doin' what you're doin', Yoshi! I look forward to future content; I like to think good things come to those who wait.![]()

@casper
I love the game but I have a problem with those too. I wish crafting (and gathering by extent) and materia were made more relevant. The economy in my server is so bad that ilv70 stuff sells poorly, mainly because you get so much 'free' equipment. ilv70 was godly in the beginning cause we didnt have ilv90 stuff (philo is so quick to farm nowadays that its quicker to farm DL then farm money to buy ilv70 crafted gear). My only hope is that we get crafted gear at least close to the new ilv max (like 110 for T6~9 and 100 for craft) and new tier materias. Maybe even up a little the materia cap? Maybe add new materias (like cure potency +, enmity+, lower cd, etc).
But Yoshi-p and everyon on the team is doing a good job!

Love the game in its current state and am happily awaiting 2.2
The one thing that I think could add a lot of depth is some more open world content. I'd just like for there to be a little more of a sense that something uncommon could happen to me while out in the world, or for there to be a reason for me to be hanging out in the high-level areas like the Sahagan or Zan'rak areas. Right now I spirit bond in those places when I'm bored, but lately I've just been logging off instead : D
- A group of monsters in a certain area that drop, say 100 gil / kill so people that don't like to craft have a chance at farming gil
- Random/Rare spawn "Named" monsters that can drop usable loot for high level players (or like level 30 required level, ilvl 39 items for alts)
- A system that awards level 50 players additional experience in a separate bar from killing level 45+ open world monsters (FATE completions, dungeon monsters, and dungeon rewards would NOT fill this bar). The bar would fill up with 1 million experience points, and could either be drained from 100% to purchase a very small permanent buff to your character (+15 hit points, +15 mana points, +X HP regeneration, etc) that have caps (like you can purchase 3 ranks of the +15 hit point buff), or you could purchase stronger temporary buffs that would drain the exp bar by the minute (i.e. +100 hp for 10k xp / minute, or +15 skill speed for 4k / minute)
/shrug - other than my desire to have more of that type of content, this is the first MMO that has captured my interest for more than 3 days since EQ1. That's high praise in my book!
