Honestly, people are really overusing (and clearly MISusing) the term "white knight". Let them call everyone who thinks SE is a good company, or that FFXIV is a good game, a "white knight". The internet and it's vast number of child-like minded users have really SpEd (see what I did there?) up social and definition alterations.

Anyone remember how "dork" was a very low-blow? Well it's pretty lame now, and those who do use it in a non-humorous means really are sad. This community, in particular, really likes to overuse "white knight". Take a guess what direction that's going.

So I'm going to be "white knighting" it up and say that I love the game, and think they did a fantastic job with it. We don't know what sort of financial limitations they had to work with, particularly when it comes to the server management, but I can wait. This is the first MMO that I've felt that same sense of enjoyment for since I first picked up FFXI and WoW (2003 and 2004). It's been a sad state of affairs since then.

Stumbles should be expected with any MMOs launch, people complaining they cant make a character on the same world as a friend etc would complain if they were in and getting booted.

Yes, I also have been affected by the login woe's of the server crying out for relief. But as everyone here has stated the game is flawless. In my many as others have stated years of MMO experience there has never been a game to grab my attention for 3 days straight and now 4 with the emersiveness and just bliss that this game has. It is truly a monument to what Gaming and MMO gaming should be like. Continue with the great work and thank you for what I expect to be the game that I play for many years to come.

Aye, I agree as well.

Sure login issues are disappointing, but that's only because I (and most likely others) just really want to play.

Thankfully login issues are temporary and once they're gone we'll be left with a really fun game.

I have to admit I was totally angry at the fact that the servers were screwing up really bad. But over the course of the couple of days and so forth I can only say Kudos to Yoshi P. and his team. The game is awesome and its my first time playing and MMORPG. Thank you for delivering an awesome game and working so hard to satisfy all of your fans worldwide

Despite my occasional negative remarks, I cant help but love the game still... I know that eventually the server issues will get fixed... I just wish they would fix them as fast as they fix the JP server issues though. :|

People should focus a bit on what Yoshida and the devs were able to accomplish with FFXIV instead of what are really commonplace problems with an MMO launch.

o-o; We really need more happy threads. It's a bit disheartening to check the official forums and find people raging and QQing all the time. ~_~;

I have faith in the development team, otherwise I wouldn't have chosen this as my first stepping stone into a subscription online game. I've seen their dedication and hard work through various sources and I have done my research the past year. While there is down time, I'm just doing my college work, waiting patiently for the developers to fix what needs to be fixed. It's best to be positive and give the devs the respect and appreciation, because really now, if you want to be always negative about something and think about negative things, it's just spreading sadness and it creates a dark atmosphere. Paladins will purge the darkness! I'm proud to be a White Knight, like Cecil Harvey! Like Cecil who was once a Dark Knight, you guys who shoot down the positive people will soon become White Knights in the future!
