Sorry, but the community has every right to be upset with this launch and the terrible mismanagement.

I have been through many MMO launches, and yes every one has it's issues. But do this for me, name me one MMO that didn't :

Have a robust functional queuing system. Login congestion and overloaded servers are fine. Making people wait 4 hours in queue to get in is fine. Giving them a generic message that says, "try again later" with no idea of when later might be is, is unacceptable

Have servers ready to go at launch if additional worlds were needed to be brought online. Full servers and trouble making characters was to be expected for sure. Not having a single world available for days on which to make a character on after you purchased the game is unacceptable.

4 hours? longest ive waited is 10mins. oh no im gonna melt away... i highly highly highly doublt anyone waited longer then 30mins, which yes is a long time..but so be it. deal with it nerds, your lvl 37 get off the game and to go bed already

I had to try for 3 and a half hours to get logged in earlier today, tyvm. My friends who were very excited about this game, still have not been able to create a character on ANY world, let alone the one we chose.

way way way to many whiney babies... calm the heck down and realise they are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars for you greedy nerds just to play a few days early. show some respect, wait a whole 3 hours for maintenance, go wash yourself for once cuz god knows most of you havent gotton off your damn chairs for atleast 48 hours.. get laid..do something except sit here and bicker about something that you have no controll over. fat greasy nerds.

Sorry but the game came out yesterday and now you are calling people babies when there are many that just started trying to play on release(yesterday) and have yet to be able to play. Lets take my friend for example who cannot join our server, let alone make a character on any na/eu servers as it gives him the error the world is full. So its just fine that he cannot play a game that he just got?

For those that got early access, many bought the game early just for that early access alone. It is still a purchase and so they have every right to complain as well. As I said in my statement before, take the same problem with the game and apply it to any real world objects and you will get the majority of the world to become angry at any company that sells them something that doesn't work correctly. What would you do if part of your pizza you ordered wouldn't arrive? Or how about a slice taken out when you receive it? They then compensate you with another pizza that is half eaten. Sorry but why should a game not suffer the same consequence as any real world problem when a product isn't delivered as intended?

Now I will say that I enjoy the time I have played so far, but I do get frustrated like any normal person with the problems that could have been avoided had they taken the correct steps to resolve before release. This game is suppose to be a form of entertainment and not a form of stress that it has caused many.

Aye and like has been said angry people can get emotional and say stupid things. I like what this thread was attempting to do but it saddens me that it fails before hitting page two with people falling back on good old fashion bigotry and the new "lets blame the americans" routine.

I would have though in this day and age people would have started to understand ignorance is the biggest issues that divide us yet we have the idea that "English" means American like the language didn't exist pre colonization.

Bad behavior is not limited to "America" if you need some kind of proof of this just turn on your TV and watch any news broadcasts about current world events. Sadly hate, bigotry etc etc has no borders and discriminates against no one regardless of where they live or were born, when will we learn to do the same?

Every time I read a thread like this I seem to lose a little more faith in humankind...

Although i may simpathyze with part of this, part of the problem is that the gmng industry release the lowest quality prods in the world.

Any company in any other industry that releases a prod as faulty as the gaming industry releases these days would go broke, instantly. This isnt a SE only issue, since in comparison to others the game is not that buggy, but an ind problem. The qty standards this industry admits are seriously too low.

Now i am a system eng, i know there is no chance to make a soft this big without bugs, but i also know that with more time and resources most of the games released in the last 10 years of the industry would have launched with 90% less probs.

Whether it is bc they want to cut cost to earn more money, or because the gamers pressure for early launchs, the gmng industry is in a qty crisis that will have to be adressed.

This course cant be carried on, companies will have to start making better qty products.

Thanks for making a thread about this, and I'm glad it's received so much attention.

I've pretty much felt the same way as OP my entire time on the forums, but I tried not to get involved as I know there's no pleasing someone who's determined to be dissatisfied.
Just like there's no reasoning with someone who's determined not to reason.

I'm happy to see the server issues easing up and more people enjoying a stable environment within which to play.

Yoshi-P and his team, and Square Enix altogether have made a massive effort in recreating this game and as someone who dropped 1.0 within the first 2 weeks with how bad it was... ARR feels like a masterpiece.

Yeah, there have been a few hiccups with the release because of the completely unprecedented amount of people to show interest in the game; but that is already being eased over and will likely be optimized within the coming week or 2.


I guess patience is a virtue people don't care for these days.

No I havent been able to play from the 24th up to this day and they have ignored my emails regarding this issue. They told me: "We can't assist you directly please try again later"...

i'm with Yoshi, now and forever! i love this game and i love the work that Yoshi and the devs did and will do. Who doesnt understand the work that they did, can easily doing others thing.
