Ya this is 2013, stuff like this should not be happening anymore. Only reason anything like this would happen now in days, is piss more planning on the dev team and everyone wants to say they are working "around the clock", everyone wants to make you feel "Sorry for them". They fucked up period, no need for anyone to feel "sorry for them". I'm sure there working hard but this could off all been prevented with "proper planning". They bragged about have over 1 mil people in beta and yet they still have so little servers? Explain that to me yoshi lovers.

I wish I could have all you white knights as my boss, that way once I screw up something and cost you a ton of money, we can just say I worked hard and i'm sad that it happened, and just drop it from there.

While I can understand the pain of the people on the NA/EU servers and how terrible it is not to play.

Shit happens.

If you work in IT or any electronics based company you would know that it doesn't matter how hard you work at something or how well you prepare, there will always be issues.

SE has done there very best and if you played in 1.0 and than into beta you would see how much they have worked.

There are few gaming companies that have shown the dedications that SE has and they do not deserve some of the hateful and bigoted remarks they have got.


I am not a fan boy, I am not a white knight for SE though I play PLD. I am a human just like them.

I agree some people are obviously going overboard with the insults and complaints.....typical of kids. However, this company needs to be giving updates (more than an apology) on what they are doing or hope to do to fix this mess. We haven't heard much from them, much less seen any types of actions being taken especially now since it's launch day. They need to do something with their PR people and give the NA/ EU kiddos some information. I'd be fine if I knew what was in the works and when we can expect results.

I know its been said by others, time and time again, but I felt like putting in my "two cents". Yes, the current situation of a majority of us not being able to log in is very unfortunate! Do I think that SE could have taken more steps to prevent and alleviate the issue? Yes I do. Do I think that we as a community are taking our rage entirely too far? Abso friggin lutely. I'm not going to be one of these users who say to ragers, "Good, don't play, we don't need you here anyway." I would like to say to the ragers, I understand your frustration, I honestly do. But childishly attacking people like we have been is no way to voice our concerns. They will make it right, it may take a while, but it will get there. If you're like me, and believe that ARR is a game worth playing, then have a little patience. Its OKAY to be upset, but to be childish... Come on guys.

But there's constructive criticism, and then there's... God knows what kind of shameful vitriol that's been going on these last few days. It's almost enough to make one lose faith in humanity.

To those who have made constructive criticism, I applaud you. For the rest, if you're gonna criticize, for God's sakes people, at least have some class instead of crying 'Ruined Forever'.

There is probably a reason the que system inst working for players trying to log in, a simple clairvoyant explanation on why it isn't working, and what there plan is for the issue moving forward. All they have done so far is apologize(which i greatly appreciate, and never expected, i even went to gamerescape to sign and send a Thank you to Yoshi P/Devs) and say that there temporary solution is login restrictions. I honestly cant assume they are going to sit on there hands until people give up and stop trying to play, they want as many customers as they can get, so they must be working on a solution to relieve server congestion.

They could have a solution(ie purchasing more servers etc.) but they are still in the middle of working on that process(negotiating on price, etc.). All i want is for them to say what they are hoping to do for a solution even if that solution is yet to be final, the simple acknowledgement that they arnt just sitting on there hands and waiting for people to quit the game is there solution(which i think is obserd to assume) and that if we could be patient all will be right in the world of Eorzea in due time.

Who honestly looks back at games and are really pissed about server outages? It's just a temporary rage and people need to calm the eff down.

Diablo 3 had error 37 or whatever but ultimately, who is mad about that? (rather than the game being awful)

There was even a thread where someone was like "TOR had a perfect launch." Like, dude. No it didn't. All that thread showed is that people forget about this sort of stuff down the line.
