Thank you. I didn’t see this anywhere in the thread. Here's Reinheart's translation of the whole event, which is much better of what I could come up with. You can check towards the end.

To the people who say personal insults to the developers: you disgust me. These men and women work as hard as they possibly can to create a living breathing world for YOU to enjoy. This isn't just for Yoshi or Square Enix, this is for all game companies and developers. It's understandable and actually should be said to complain about issues so the devs are aware of it, but personal insults are absolutely NEVER necessary.
You're all adults (or maturing teenagers). Grow up, be mature, and understand personal feeling other than you're selfish selves. To say the developers should be adamant to personal insults is hopeless, because in the end the game is made for us to enjoy. If we insult them and degrade them, how can they possibly ignore that? It's like someone random just starts insulting your child; it's at the very least difficult to ignore.
I'm frustrated I can't log in whenever I want, but that aside, it is a really good and stable game. I've had no crashes, no disconnects, nothing. The only issue is getting into the game.
And, while that is a pretty severe issue at least the actual game is really good. All these threats of getting a refund are a bit silly tbh.
And about the JP servers... they are likely in full control of those servers and manage them in house. They can make whatever changes they see fit. The NA/EU servers are outsourced to a datafarm, and they are basically at the mercy of the datafarm to get their stuff together.
TL;DR
It is a fixable problem that will be fixed. The actual game/gameplay is amazing.

Welcome to the new world of fail... This isn't a problem just in this community but everywhere in the world. Kids these days have the gimme mentality without any appreciation for hard work... It's just sad.All I see on the forums are constant bickering and people calling Square Enix terrible and other names. Apparently Yoshi-P even teared up on the stream they did today (I missed it, but this post mentions it.)

Sad indeed. This community disgusts me sometimes. Yoshi and team have done a fantastic job. Launch issues are very much to be expected. They've done a good job letting us know what's going on and I, for one, have seen noticeable improvements in the last two days.

I work a lot. When im not at work i want to play an hour or two. But i cant because of the restriction. I bought the game like everyone else who allowed to play.
These forums are so toxic lately. So much hate directed not just at the devs, but at each other. You can say, "That's cuz we're gamers. This is how we are. Deal with it." all you want, but in the end, no self-respecting human being will willingly subject themselves to prolonged abuse. And that's what's been rampant in the entire gaming community lately -- abuse. In the end it just leads to things like this:

I don't know how Yoshi does it. Props to him, but I'm concerned nonetheless. If things don't change in this community, something's bound to give. I know that if I were in his shoes, I'd have been on a yacht sippin' Mai Tais with Phil Fish by now. If things continue down this road, then our community -- perhaps for the better, at this rate -- will eventually cease to exist.
We and the dev team have one thing in common: our wish to see this game succeed. So for love of the game folks, can't we all just get along?
And within a few days that will never be an issue. Seriously you are acting like a child stomping their feet in the store. Are you in a race? Are on your death bed?
Multiple times I wasn't able to get on. You know what I did? Spent time cleaning, hanging with my dogs, practicing, and just living. Yoshi does not deserve this kind of shit from anyone. It's opening weekend so DEAL WITH IT
Well I guess I'm the only one who finds it funny that this forum needs someone to direct their bigotry towards so the topic immediately goes to bashing an entire country of people.
Here's an idea: Just stop being assholes all around. I know that's crazy talk; this forum is a toxic cesspool of hate either way.
Also, I never saw many complaints directed at the development team. Most of the anger has been directly towards Square Enix and their current as well as historical ineptitude. The general consensus all around is that it's an excellent game and Yoshi P. and his team did a fantastic job that's being screwed up by the company he works for.

Two things, ARR is not free to play and we don't have shoulder "pads" the size of Behemoth's paw. The majority of the trolls and a$$hats will be gone soon enough. This has been nowhere near the Final Fantasy community that i'm used to, so the only thing I can come up with is that there are a lot of curious mmo players from all types of other games and giving ARR a look-see, and they have brought their bad attitudes with them. Yoshi and dev team don't worry! real fans have your back and we know that you are doing everything in your power to give us the best and most accessible experience that you can!
You heard it too, didn't you? the voice... of the wind....
