Thread: I figured it out guys!!! The issue with 1.0 players not being able to register codes.

I guess that the smartest move for 1.0 players would have been:

Pre-order ARR
Get EA code
Cancel pre-order
Enjoy

Wow... another failure from SE. Seriously they have sent me so many emails about coming back and join the beta for the "new" game. And since i collect CE's of course i ordered a new copy. Lucky enough my CE is still on the way so i can send it back if i wont open. But this is something SE should have taken care of before by informing all the 1.0 players with an extra email.

Yes they probably should have made this clear in an email. But you can't say they never told anyone.

I wanted to do that but I thought I should be more ethical...so in return I get a useless key and lost CE bonus....

...it was just that some of us were dumb enough to waste it activating a second Service Account :P

So if we had a 1.0 account, we can't add the CE code to the game?

Nope.
Hopefully they'll give us the option to.
Smart thing for Square would have been to put a notice on the product page or in the email you get when you pre-order. I know it was on the forums, but seriously, not everyone checks them.
For now, I guess we can only wait and see what they do. All of my friends have the game already so I'm stuck with the code. I'd like to use it or be issued a refund.
