30 day access was not part of the preorder or early access codes, it's part of the registration code. If you bought it digitally on the pc before the 27th you should of gotten two codes already, and a third one probably today if not already.

It appears you are well informed - are you able to confirm if we should "Add a new service account" in the Mogstation using the code we receive today?
I can't seem to be able to "Update" the current Service Account with the new code.

There should be an "add windows service button" or an "add ps3 service" button depending on what you want to activate. Make sure you are currently selected on the proper service account if you have more than one. I haven't done this myself as I do not have a code yet, but from everything I've looked at this is how to do it.

However, I have a question: I already have a FFXIV 1.0 copy. I guess that's the copy where I activated my early access code since the Mogstation account says I have the pre-order bonus items there. It also says "14 days left" for some reason.
If I simply renew that account (the account 1) will I be able to continue playing? I will lose the free 30 days but at least I won't need to buy a third copy of the game lol.
If your character is showing up on being on that 1.0 account then yeah, renewing that would work because 1.0 players get the game free.
