Have a Version 1.0 standard, purchased CE box - DONT DO IT

So yeah, ive played since 1.0 and have a standard edition account, been through alpha and beta for ARR and had fun!
i got my CE for the early access and all the cool stuff that came with it, little did i know that my code is utterly useless, no cool ingame items for me.
i phone support and was told i could make a new character ... umm, no
sorry but no, ive redone these jobs multiple times (about 6-7times), im sick of it, i dont want to start again, im sorry but id rather quit before subjecting myself to another 60 hours of the same CS quests and grinds, i just, NO!
so the lovely lady on the phone is seeing if i can just get my account upgraded since i already purchased it anyway, but in physical form.
im damn well hoping so because i was very much looking forward to riding my cat today and enjoying the game.
i can put up with technical issues like overloaded servers, all new MMOs have this, its cool, but when i pay money for items i want to get, then you can damn well bet im gonna cop a hissy fit when i find out i have prolly wasted £42

my friend has a similar issue but on a worse scale, she input her code following the instructions in the book while having a standard account (she played beta), to find out it made another account all together and did not tack it onto her existing one, again we phoned, and they dont even know what to do about that!

i dont want to pay out more money to get what i already purchased.

so as a warning to anyone else, do not buy the physical edition of the CE if you already have an account with a leveled character, youd end up wasting money, especially if they dont fix this at all.

so please SE, fix this problem, i want to enjoy my game, i will pay more for general subs and all, but not for what i already paid for, and i certainly wont be paying for a sub if this is not fixed!

and no i dont want to sell my CE box, i want my art book and soundtrack with everything else, i paid for it because i wanted it!
