Does anyone know if there is a way to use the enemy list that pops up on the side of the screen to target the enemies in the list?
On a PC, you just click on the enemy names that pop up on the list, but I'm not sure how to do that for Playstation.

I was trying to figure that out too. As far as I know there is no way too, lately I have just been using a closest enemy macro to target. Been working well.
If you use customised targeting there is an enemies option, the should do it, biggest issue with it though is one of the targeting shortcuts is the same as screenshot meaning when you change targeting types you take a screenshot lol
How would you go about setting up a macro? and what would the macro look like on the PS3 for targeting the closest enemy?
What I do, is to enable "Target Filter Customisation" in the Character Settings menu, so when I press L1 + O it filters to only Enemies, then I press the Left/Right Button and you see the target cycling through the list (I think Right Button is down the list and Left Button is up the list.)
You'll just have to get used to using the keyboard as well, tab(cycle) or f11(nearest) or you can drag cycling enemy list, etc.
The stupid thing is the developer team won't allow us to keybind the gamepad.
R3 is more or less worthless, which I would keybind as cycle enemy or something.
If you have a way to override the gamepad settings with 3rd party software, that might be a solution to reaching over to the keyboard.
On filtering, it's not easy because you will automatically switch from customization to "enemies" to "other"(drawn sword) when you disengage to "all" when you sheathe.
An option in which holding L1 + button momentarily uses that filter and letting go resets it to normal, some other command like double tapping or holding yet another button (perhaps L1+R1 + Button) actually switches to that targeting filter.
i.e. you need only press and hold L1 + O (targeting friends for example) tap left or right and heal or buff your carbunkle, then let go and carry on attacking the monsters without having to shift targeting filters, back and forth.
Another obvious one would be using up and down for lists that appear on screen:
say L1 + O is friendly units/party
and L1 + X is Enemies/aggroing enemies
at any stage holding L1 + O will make left and right cycle through friendly units on screen and up and down cycle through party members that appear in the list top left.
like wise holding L1 + X will make felt and right cycle though enemies on screen and up and down cycle through the enemy list.

TY!!! I was super confused on this and was messing it up, in a large fight tryin to target a mob and getting someones pet instead, its frustrating as all hell!!
The main problem I'm having is even with filters on and it set that I should not be able to target anything but mobs with my weapon out, half the time the 1st thing I target is an npc or someones topaz carbuncle. I've even completely disabled my ability to target npcs/party members through all of the filters and still 1st choice is normally a topaz carby in a fate. Does anyone have a way around this besides the mouse?
Similarly, if I set my filter to "enemies" and try to target when there are no mobs its seems to switch back to "All" despite still reading "enemies" as my target filter.
