I don't think people remember just how bad 1.0 was. If you think this is a "mistake on the same level," you are out of your mind. Even calling 1.0 a "game" is far too generous. There were no quests, no market system, no dungeons, bad gear system, poorly thought out leveling system, a large world with nothing in it, no mounts, no airships, poorly designed repair system, etc. It was one of the biggest failures in the history of gaming. So bad that it couldn't be salvaged. Instead, they scrapped the entire game and built a new one to replace it.

If you think what amounts to little more than a minor inconvenience even begins to approach the disaster that was 1.0, I don't know what to say to you. This is rather average for an MMO launch. Almost all of them have problems, and yes, a good number of them worse than anything we've experienced thus far. If you don't want to deal with launch day issues, then you shouldn't be getting MMOs at launch. Those of us who are both experienced and realistic about these things completely expected this, and while we aren't happy about it, we're not turning into raging lunatics over it either. If you can't deal with this, you seriously need to learn to roll with the punches.
