    Is crafting even worth it?

    Hi there.
So like the titel already said I'm wondering if it's even worth to push crafting up to the max level. And with that I mean how good are the weapons and the gear at the end.
I know every class gets his own gear and even a weapon.
So do you even need a blacksmith or a weaver to craft you some gear?
So yeah, I'm just don't know if I should even keep on going with armorer.

    Thanks for the help.

To me it seems like it's a bit more worth than on your standard MMO. You get most if not all from quest/dungeon rewards and vendors and never need to look at crafting unless you really want to. That being said it's a money sink until pretty far up. At least materia infusion and repairs are limited only to crafters so there's that while leveling up. I can't say for high end stuff, but I've heard that it's somewhat better than most of the rest.

Probably not, but some people do enjoy it.

Part the issue with ARR is that quests give out far too much crafted gear in rewards that it has seriously marginalised the crafters market.

Repairs are simple and cheap(ish) also so levelling a craft for the purpose of repairing isn't as worth it as it was in 1.0

All the top gear will be from instances, the only advantage to crafted gear would be materia melding but there is barely an advantage at all because of the silly caps on stats.

The i70 crafted gears blow Darklight out of water, it's not even a comparison. I assume they will eventually implement i90 crafted gear that does same to i90 blues

For Goldsmith our jewelry cost 6 times more in Tomes alone than their allagan counterpart.

Not sure it's worth it at all.

Exactly, even if the gear is better, it's just much easier to buy Darklight and then get AF+1/i90 next in line.

Agreed its ridiculous that all the hamlet materials now cost a fortune in tokens, there should have been a better solution than this.

I would rather they came as dungeon drops than what we have right now.

Vanya is nice and all but I ain't bothering with it.
