This just isn't working..

I can crash during login, lobby, alt tabbing, within seconds of zone switching and sometimes just randomly. This issue is far more frustrating than the server problems. Client has stopped working errors are tiring

I've been able to weasel my way into game countless times now but within sometimes minutes my client crashes. I was able to play yesterday with minimal crashes, however today my client locks up excessively. In Beta4, I didn't have a single issue.

I'm using a 3570K CPU and 7970 GPU with 13.4 drivers. Beta driver 13.8 V2 is a no go. Windows 7 OS.

I've also noticed a lot of the people have issues with newer gen hardware, so I wonder if its DX related?

Either way, hopefully this is something being looked at and not being washed out by the server QQ.

I would recommend downloading the AMD Uninstall Utility and use it to clear out ALL AMD drivers and software on your system, then give it a go with either the new beta or the 13.4 you have.

Second, I would download and install the Direct X 9 library, as FFXIV ARR is still a DirectX 9.0c game, they said they will update to DX 11 at a later time. Unfortunately if you haven't downloaded the Direct X 9 library manually, you don't have it, Direct X 11 is simply emulating DX 9 functions, which isn't ideal.

Nothing I do will change the crashing, I guess I'll have to wait for the unlikely timely fix.

Well, any hardware issues are no doubt gonna be pushed back. If it's even something that SE can fix, a lot of the times it's the gpu guys that have to do it.
