So I hear they are offering Free/Paid transfers on opening day?

I heard from my friend that also plays that they will be offering transfers free or paid on day one? is this legit? I'm not holding my breath, infact given their current track record of not giving a damn about anyone but themselves, I think it may just be him reading incorrectly, correct me if this is a true announcement from SE. Do they not see all their hard work crashing down before their very eyes due to sheer stupidity?

Even if it were true, what difference does it make? All the NA/EU servers seem to be full/login restricted, so where would we transfer to? They don't even show us queues, so we have no idea just how highly populated the servers are.

They haven't said, only statement released is free transfers in september.

I have heard absolutely nothing to hint that free transfers of any sort will be available. But who knows, they might implement them to help with the population issues.

As for transfers between NA/JP servers, I am pretty sure it will be possible. If you go to the Lodestone and look at the "optional services" page, in the World Transfer Service section the example they use is a Durandal (JP server) to Hyperion (NA server) transfer.

There's not much point, pretty much all the na/eu servers are at or past capacity. Unless they add new servers, of course. But this being SE, and them already having fucked up 14 once before, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Okay, so apparently I'm not allowed to create new threads.... gosh darn game / forums. Anywho, this server status for legacy players has me really bugging out.

I am not super high, but I am also very time restricted, and I dabbled in a LOT of crafting and class leveling that I really don't feel like redoing from scratch. The issue is, my 1.0 character, when I recovered him, is somehow on a Japanese server? How? HOW?! How do I get him out (contacted support, but I'm expecting a canned response). Not only "how do I get him off that server?", but how the heck did my character end up in a Japanese legacy server?
