My Thoughts on Server Issues

What I don't understand is why the NA/EU servers (i.e. players) are getting hosed with all of these problems, when it appears that the Japanese players aren't having these issues. If I'm incorrect, please correct me; but whenever I search to see which servers are up, it always appears that the JP servers are going strong and the NA/EU servers are down for some kind of maintenance.

So if I am not incorrect in my assumptions/findings, then why are the Japanese players getting catered to and the NA/EU players getting dumped on? Don't we make up a large majority of the overall players for this game? If so, why do the Japanese have an equal amount of servers devoted solely to JP players as the NA/EU players have (which are split amongst the two groups.)

All I have to say is "Equity." Where is it with Square-Enix?

Lol equality. No mmo can ever cater to every region I.e blizzard used to have maint during oceanic prime time and we just had to wear it.

Tbh I think the data centres in jp were overseen in establishment by SE whereas I can imagine they out sourced the work to a US company to set up your data centres. Finally I think it partly comes down to the nature of the two communities on the jp servers from what I can tell no one afks for extended periods of time just to have a spot when they get home etc , whereas from what I can tell this is a common thing on the NA servers which is a bit selfish

Do you want to know why only the NA/EU cluster is getting hammered?
We far, far outnumber the JP players are apparently are deeply alergic to playing in japanese servers.
So we all huddle in this sinking boat.

Why would they NOT cater more to Japan?

Or maybe there Japanese branch has their crap together and the other branch is absolutely terrible.

25 servers for Japan & 25 servers for NA/EU. Some guy at SE who didn't learn geography in school, thinks the entire population of NA & EU is the same for Japan. That's why NA/EU servers are having ridiculous amounts of problems & people not able to log in to their servers.

It tells me the outsourced their NA/ EU servers to a third party and the people they outsourced to had no idea what they were getting in to.

It's too bad too. When you can get in to play, the game as for the most part fun. When you can get in.

It's funny how one categorises the data center. It is not based on one country. The jp data center houses for ppl near it, I.e most of Asia, china, n so on. Alot of us are on it. Even a bunch of eu Na n such too that form a mix international base in here.

Likewise the Na/eu center houses for ppl nearer the other side of the world. N it is also not region locked n thus have a mix of people.

Don't assume 25 server is just for jp when a whole bunch if ppl from this side if the world are on it. I just hope they get the server all stable in this couple if days, so all can have fun

JP server and its team has been used and utilized since FFXI, when NA/EU server is a brand new server with newbies

I was happily playing with Avenes and she decided to restart the game.

I said "Nooooooo~" but it was too late and our misfortune began.

I heard Avenes scream in horror so I called her name!

She said "Nnnngh..." and I knew it struck again!

I hope the server will be stabilibleleized soon!
