I feel the pain, I have not been able to play since Saturday evening after trying to log in for almost 2 hours. I am however being very patient, we have been promised changes on Wednesday, and after all this is an MMO launch, all MMO launches are rough. They are getting their fair chance from me, after Wednesday if the issues are still there, than maybe I will start getting a bit frustrated. It's not like we have paid for anything (at least if you are a version 1 vet that is).

Wednesday is when SE finds out whether they can wipe their butts properly. Only 3 outcomes: 1. All gets fixed (doubtful), 2. The problem persists and SE has to extend the free to play period until its really fixed, 3. SE remains unable to fix the problem and starts charging players thus triggering the class action lawsuit that you know has already been floated out there.

I have not done an all day work AFK, however I attempted to AFK this weekend to be able to play when I wanted to. Each day the game crashed on me at some point, which meant no more playing for me the rest of the day. Sadly, if you want to play this game during peak hours (or for most any hours), you have to AFK. I'm not opposed to an AFK kick timer, if SE can remedy the server login issues. I'm not confident they can, at least not very soon. All we can do is wait and see.

I myself haven't done a work AFK but can't say I blame people. I logged out at around 2:30pm today from messing around on an alt just to find I couldn't login on my main. I just said on well and started browsing the internet. SE has really dropped the ball on this. The instance server has been overloaded since head start which is why the queue was changed and 10 days later we are still waiting on them to address the underlying issue. Go go gadget band aid that severed artery and walk to the hospital not like you're going to bleed to death if you take your sweet time. On a side note if there had been more than a 2 day OB/Stress test they might have found out about server cap issues.

Be mad at AFKers all you want. Fact of the matter is this will be cleared up within a month's time, if not this week. Compared to the idea of how long they plan to run the game (10 years), this is just a short period of discomfort. Deal with it and go do something else.

The problem isn't AFK. The problem is when peole log off or are disconnected the server isn't responding in the proper manner. Normally a server will wipe the character from the world and save In about 5 secs. The servers are t a king up to 20 minutes to recognize you have left the game. causing there to be a server population overstatement. It seems as if SE as made a hotfix where in the server will do a sweep of players and decide if the player has disconnected from the game. Example is if you are zoning while the server is doing the check it thinks you have left the game. You get the 90000 error and are partially booted. I say partially cause part of the server is saying you are zoning while the other part is saying you are disconnecting ie. Error 1017. Its actually kinda funny.

All I want to know is when the fuck are they actually going to unlock the fgod damn server. I've been watching my roommate and gf shuffle there feet on other servers waiting to join our FC/LS. This is bullshit as every other server has left there fucking list at least once except ours.... Yea I'm pissed its like they didn't learn a fucking thing from FF11 or the first shit attempt at this game.
