Holiday events are a waste of time. If there is a team or part of a team dedicated to that, those people could be doing something more productive, like helping out the battle team.

Furthermore, you can't tell people to stop having an opinion on something. What are you? five?

No they cannot "do something else" they are paid and employed to come up with various seasonal events just like the team in FFXI who came up with alot of cool and funny events. Its like saying a firefighter could be a scientist when there is a lack of fires in their area. >.>;
