In FFXIV terms Classes are not Jobs. If it is a traditional Job System they wouldn't be advanced just jobs. I'm hoping its a mix of FFT and FF5 just stacked on top of the Armoury System where your skills are decided by you but you get bonuses for using specific ones for your currently equipped job.
