They said the two options were:

Specialisations within the armory system

OR

Jobs as advanced classes

So it is one of those.

If you notice, he mentions the Armory system is staying... So there will be the Armory system and the Job system. I'm sure Armory will work pretty similar to what it is now. I bet the Job system will be something where if you have X ranks in 2 or more Classes or X skills equipped from a combination of classes, it will unlock an "advanced job" sort of thing.
