Look like he's getting tired of our childish behavior. He's having less fun in is letter.

I sorta agree with this and I would not blame him.

I think this letter is a nice way of him saying STFU already we are working on the crap we said we would be working on.

Maby not could be because he was sick, but this letter definitely had a different tone to it then the normal Yoshi-P letters

Probably because he was sick...also, after the earthquake he said one of his friends was missing...I wonder if they ever found Yoshi-P's friend...

Wow...that's really sad man, I had no idea. Guy has had a tough time lately. He did seem to get more light hearted at the end there.

The letter wasn't aimed at who it normally is. There's a whole other legion of interested but skeptical players who think the deve team's been pretty flippant and aloof and not taking the overhauls seriously. To approach that topic with a little more serious tone is a good thing.

Otherwise, we'll turn Yoshi-P into Tanaka yet. Just give it some time before he, too, is yelling, "Shut up and listen, ****ers!"

Between working hard, getting sick, a national disaster, and silly bickering, I'm not surprised. Kudos to his patience.

Umm, maybe you were brought up this way. How is it our fault the game failed and their redesigning it. How is it wanting more info on a product that might be a long term investment.

For me it seemed that people were thinking the new Battle System (Along with the other content and fixes he described) would come out faster but Yoshi made it clear its on a different schedeul then other fixes for the game. So it's great that he gave the FFXIV community a clear picture of content and fixes will be taking some time.

I really enjoyed the info and how he seperated quick fixes from long term fixes schedeul wise.

I think you misunderstood my post. I lumped "we", as in the entire English community, into one group. I was taking one for the team in calling myself a child for the way we've all acted on the boards as of late. I could have come out and said I'm better informed for understanding that game development takes time, and that I have not read into every single post and assumed each patch was going to be a miracle.

Yeah I think I will do that instead, which also proves my point. We're acting like children.
