[Necessity] Save action bar setup for each class

I'm sure we all agree that this is necessary for FFXIV.

Each class needs to have its own action bar setup and that setup needs to be saved between switching classes.

There's nothing more irritating than switching to a lower-level class to watch your action bar get obliterated down to only as many skills as you can fit with that current class. When you later switch back, you're going to need to completely resetup all of your skills.

I'd love if this could be fixed...

Ya this was mentioned in various forms across a few posts now. I was thinking lately that the suggestions to have "a few" presets for bars is nice and all but why not just do what you've mentioned which is to save a load out (I'd argue stat allotments, bars, and maybe even gear too) for each class with a 'save' button or something to set it once you've configured it as you want. Then when you switch to something else for instance and switch back later a 'load' button could be there to return to that preset, otherwise it would do nothing.

I think it's somewhat important in this case or in the case of some other preset system to make the saving and loading of presets a user initiated action.

edit: yes it can also be argued that 1 preset for each class may not be enough because for a CON for instance you might have a healing load out and a damage load out (wise stats etc...). That's yet another issue which I can only think brings you to having 2 or 3 presets per class. I realise now that's a shit ton of saved presets but if they're all done client side I don't see it as a big deal if it's just a short list of what goes where. I can't imagine a macro-like call function that restores a saved set of presets even if it's 100 short lines of text makes an onerous file size, even if there are 50 or 60 of those saved load outs. In this day and age I don't see that as earth shattering. It can't be worse than having 4 macros per class just to redo your bars.

I'd put this under as a necessity too. Sign me up for saved action bars per class!

Actually I would LOVE to see something like this implemented. I hate switching to a lower lvl class and having to reset all my actions on my higher lvl. :[

Agree, something needs to be done about this, the "armory system" basically doesn't work right now because you are limited to playing classes based off your stat allocation.

Gear and action bars are a complete nightmare to swap out right now also.

It would also be nice if SE made it so we could have at least 2 different point specs that we can switch between. This would allow for us to have 1 Mage spec and 1 Melee spec.

LOL It was about time for me to find a post i agree with RichardButte! Thumbs up for the idea! I've been asking them this for a while now but the more people ask the better ^^

I also have been asking to save equiped gear so it change too...specially now that they started with the class restriction, having equipment swap when you change class would be more than welcome too!

I honestly don't level my other classes unless I'm completely fatigued just becuase I hate having to change and then later rechange my perfectly set up action bar. So frustrating.
