Prior server merge is the real issue with Legacy servers.

Did they not add more Legacy servers for launch? I know most people want to stay where they are now because of our social groups, but I think if they'd open up some worlds and offer free transfers to alleviate congestion it might help.

Edit: For the uninformed, there was a server merge back in 1.x, which left us with about 5 servers. The amount of increased interest by returning players has significantly increased demand to play. Therefore there should be both additional LEGACY servers added and New Player servers.

Normally I wouldn't bump threads I made, but I think it is particularly important with the recent announcement of server expansion plans to ask: Are the server enhancements just for new player servers or will there also be more Legacy servers added?

Besides the inflated economy prices there is no difference between a "legacy" server and a "normal" server, so i highly doubt there will be any new legacy servers.

Also the Legacy servers are/were originally meant to be a place holder for v1 characters, till people are able to move off them and into the normal servers, but seeing as SE opened up character creation on them I suspect they will simply remove the legacy tag from them, as all the legacy tag is good for is to tag to let people know where there are v1 players which is particularly useful if you are trying to find an old friend again but again thats about all the legacy tag is useful for atm.
