Yes I know that, however I have been trying to play since EA and even then I had to wait a bunch of times in a queue to log in. If they put a 5,000 player cap on the server, I don't think they would allow over 5,000 players to switch to a server, would they? Even if I wanted a friend to join me in Excalibur, if there are already 5,000 people switched to that server, they shouldn't allow my friend to switch. That was the whole reason for duty finder right? So even if half of the server was unoccupied and they weren't letting any new players in and if that caused trouble finding players for parties, we can cross server merge right? I don't know lol...
