Regarding the Ability to Change Grand Companies and the Impunity from Punishment

Dear friends,

I bring this question to you most earnestly, allow me to explain my plight. I personally have previously invested some time into maxing out my Immortal Flames rank, and I have a great quantity of Grand Company gear purchased from them; mostly for crafting. Upon returning to the game I discovered that I could not use this gear as I had to complete the story quests once again in order to rejoin the Immortal Flames. I started to do the story quests last night, but in lieu of the instanced area problems I was forced to resign until a later time. I restarted my progress this afternoon, and much to my dismay something terrible happened.

I tend to be a very progressive player, I don't watch cut scenes, and I click through all of the text as fast as possible. I know this will be offensive to some of the more sensitive forum veterans, but I don't care about the story. I play to progress, and have fun times with my friends. Please forgive me.
