    im sure they will delete characters from the accidental service account which is already bad enough because it would mean they dont have the ability or are not willing to transfer the character over. which might even still be ok if it wasnt a problem that was their fault to begin with due to bad design.
    You won't lose your beta character unless you delete it yourself, so don't worry there. What I'm frustrated with, is that I'd be fine playing on this accidental service account, but now that I've put in tickets to have my accounts merged, I don't know if they're going to fix my issue. If they do, and I've been spending time playing a trash character on a JP server that gets to level, say 40, I'm gonna be bummed if that ends up getting disabled, which it will.

    So it's either not play at all, and wait for them to get it fixed (which is harrrrrrd) or play on a JP server. Which also sucks.

    after getting busy signal all day friday followed by the 3 day holiday weekend(where i worked 12+ hours each day, why shouldn't they?) i finally got past the busy signal right at 9am this morning. set my phone on my desk in front of me with speaker on. my cat jumps up to check out the noise and ends my &*^%$$% phone call after an hour and a half of waiting. now its busy again. needless to say we now have an outdoor cat instead of an inside cat.

    Good luck, if you get through. Probably just get told it is a 2 week wait or up to that amount. And not much else they can do. That's what they told me and few others on phone support.

    This is what they told me.

    " I have filed an escalation report regarding this misregistered code incident. Unfortunately I do not have the tools to do it myself. Currently we have a high volume of these incidents to report and I do not have an exact ETA on when the matter will be resolved.

    From what I have seen thus far, the entitlement transfer can be completed anywhere between within the day to a couple of days. The maximum time is 2 weeks, but as this is a recurring circumstance that has high priority for us, I doubt it will get to that point. What the team that handles these cases does is permanently close out the unintended service account and then applies a new entitlement to the correct service account. If you have been playing on the unintended account all progress will be lost. We will likely be contacting you by email once the transfer of entitlements is complete. Also, you can periodically check the Mog Station to see if the change has occurred.

    Regarding lost free period time, there has been an official post on the lodestone forums confirming that lost time due to server login restrictions this past week is being compensated for. So you will be receiving an extension of 7 days to that free period. To locate that post to confirm this information, please navigate to the forums at forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/forum.php, on the right hand side there is a bar labeled "Dev Tracker" and the post is labeled "Login Issue Update".
