I wanted to reroll on Ridill to join all of you, but I could only get into Alexander. Maybe once I finish the story line quests in Ul'dah I'll join you.
Oooohhh, yeah. I kind of forgot that JP servers are steadily filling up now, too x: Seems like there are a lot of Westerners on Ridill actually. I'm in a 70+ member English-speaking FC, and two English-speaking linkshells...
Fuck. I may just stay here x:
At this point I'm prepared to just tell SE that I've suddenly moved to Europe from NA. I'm a EU player, honestly I am. Feel free to let the EU folks fix things for me.
I've filled in the form for creation of 2nd service account by mistake (ended up using up by CE on a new service account...) about 5 days ago. Been trying to contact support via phone / live chat since then to no success. No answer or dropped response. Any one have an idea how long it might see some fixing if I just leave it be?
Not trying to sound like whiner or anything, but im not going to subscribe to this game til they get back to me about fixing the error on registering CE to new service account. Its something common enough and its been almost a week since i received my automated (we'll respond in 48hrs) email.
I seem to be the only person here preparing for this, buy we're almost certainly going to be able to register these 7 days extended trail onto to our original accounts, while our other service account problem is being sorted.
(see my reasoning post #5 here http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-clarification...)
As well as that, because the servers will be down momentarily, it'll mean a clean rush for every user to get back on line (no sitters, leaving consoles all night taking up spaces.) as well as how many new servers they're putting up Wednesday.
You do need to consider that employees are human beings too with families and pre-planned vacations and such. The release timing was terrible with respect to the US because several major issues cropped up on a game launch in the week proceeding a fairly family-cookout style holiday weekend, one of the only holidays that is constantly a weekend rather than a set date where the day of the week changes every year. It wasn't ready to be pushed out earlier, so the only other viable release would've been waiting until the 10th, since they wouldn't have the early access be a 3-day weekend with no support either, for a release on the 3rd. All factors considered, can't really begrudge employees themselves, and this holiday isn't a thing for the other regions. What is bothering me is that they went on a 3-day holiday the same week as they launched a major online title
It sucks, but one must accept the world doesn't revolve around misc US holidays. I can accept that bad timing sucks, but they better get their butts in gear and get on top of this tomorrow.
I have my fingers crossed for tomorrow, definitely. Though at the same time there's gonna be a ton of us chasing after them...haha. So we'll see. Hopefully better luck.
