    The worst part is that all this is the fault of terrible site layout and labelling making it difficult for players to give them money... that's what it ironically boils down to. None of the buttons were attached to the account frame itself, and EVERYTHING is labelled as "adding a service"... seriously, how stupid is that? I'm not "adding a service" to redeem my EA code or 30day code, I've already HAD the service (FF14) since phase 3 of the beta. FF14 is the service, every little change you make isn't a "new service". So instead of "adding a service" to the existing account, many people "added a service" which was itself a new account. Completely and utterly stupid.

    Everything could've been averted if their website wasn't designed by some nerd with English as a Second Language. Their website design tries to speak in big intellectual terms thinking that makes it look more professional, with no regard for ease of use or comprehension. I really feel like their account site is designed and managed (or at least translated) by someone who is native Japanese, learned English, and has a competent grasp of the language... but zero idea on how to convey information in a clear, intuitive, and effective manner.

    This still wouldn't be so bad of an issue if they weren't also being plagued by other hardware issues with the server density. I guess SWTOR spoiled me on launches.

    yap same as me... HQ is not open today therefore agents cant do much about it... thats so sad... we only wish to play the game we crave and pay for... =(

    Update on my issue since launch. I've been issued a refund!

    We are contacting you again in regards to your purchase from the SQUARE ENIX store. We can confirm that we have now issued a refund and it should reach your account soon.
    It was the only way to solve my problem because I
    A) have a 1.0 account so it could only use one specific upgrade form,
    B) had made a 2nd service account because the code could not be applied to the (1.0) service account I had been using.

    Finally managed to get live chat to work and this is the transcript I got:

    SEE Agent Kanon: I have updated the case to head office in order for it to be fixed a soon as possible
    SEE Agent Kanon: basically it was supposed to be fixed howver a mistake was made
    You: Thank you very much, any idea long it will take?
    SEE Agent Kanon: it might take 24-48 h

    You: No worries, just hope it gets solved.

    You: as mentioned in the ticket, I had to buy collector's edition again to actually use it. When I did so, I didn't get the 30 days.
    SEE Agent Julien: Yes i have already expalined to you that you have purcahsed the game twice instead of upgrading your first version there is nothing we can do.
    You: but I haven't got the 30 days after buying CE... again.
    SEE Agent Julien: Upgrading a version 1 account will not provide you with the 30 days trial.
    You: So not only did I have to buy CE again, I have to buy more time as well?
    SEE Agent Julien: Ok there are tow things yuou have purcahse a Vof the game thsi give you 30 days trial plus a new service account
    your version1 needs to be upgrad to collector if you wish to doit but this will not give you 30 days trial .
    You: damn it. who ever made this archaic system needs a swift kick to the head.

    In total I'm going to have spent about $162 on this game. $100 for a physical collector's edition, $22 something on the digital upgrade(euro is very strong :/), and $40 on a game time card.

    I'm NA based and I just tried 5/2 to contact the European Live Chat. I got Agent Julien and she said same as all other agents in EU, which is that EU CS can't do anything to NA based accounts. : (

    Whenever it reaches my turn for live chat, it always disconnects and says no agent available. Same results after 4 or 5 tries. Anyone of a fix or a specific listing (account/billing or register code) that works? Thanks
