    Oh f**k it, I just found out my local GameStop store has 2 copies in stock, going to buy a new game. Sick and tired of this so-called customer support. And yes I am dumb for giving SE even more of my money, but I just want to play - all my friends are way ahead of me already.

    IMO, that idea of just opening the accounts of folks for the weekend is a pretty good one. I wonder why they haven't considered it(unless there is a technical reason they can't.) It would probably go a long way in at least alleviating *some* of the frustration. They'd still need to fix the accounts, but it doesn't sound like it would be a bad idea to do.

    Edit: Also, be careful with buying second hard copies of the game-if I recall, the codes are different in hard copies vs. digital copies.

    I didn't bother reading all... 366 pages of posts. but they are all the same thing. But at least in the last 5 pages I did not see anyone warn of live chat being unable to do anything about ... well... anything. they have no ability to assist with anything account related it seems. All they are going to tell you is what the very first, OP, already has in it. they will tell you to fill out the form, and it could take up to 2 weeks. they have said they are giving it priority, although I don't know what they are prioritizing it over, as every issue they have seems to be game breaking atm. The thread needs to continue with more people posting if they are having the same problem, so they know just how global it is. But in the long run don't waste your time trying to call (8 hours today busy signal, logged 331 call attempts... 1017 phone style?) or wait for 2 hours in live chat (4 hours for me, first 2 wasted going down to 5 in queue then no agents) to get nowhere and nothing but further frustration.

    Everyone will find themselves in 1 of 2 boats:

    You either care about your preorder items, or the time and levels put onto a specific character, or the server to which you registered (probably because of friends) and you will need to fill out the form and wait for this to be resolved. (assuming if its server related your server isn't accepting new characters, since 90%? aren't)

    -or-

    you don't care about your preorder items, time you spent on a character, or didn't join any particular server because of friends and have no attachments. If this is the case you can just start your new account and bite the bullet.

    Summarization of the thread/post:
    Post that you are a victim of poor design
    Fill out form in OP
    Wait allotted time
    -or-
    start over.



    Just don't waste your time trying to contact SE in any capacity other than submitting the form needed.

    Well, due to peer pressure, I have been consuming massive amounts of alcohol. Plus how I've been feeling sad inside (124 in queue). And I stopped drinking for ages! Dratted SE!

    even if it doesn't help you out in an immediate way, it still will give customer support a sense of urgency if they have their phones ringing off the hook 24 hours a day.
