Lost free 30 days for accidentally registered to the wrong service account?

This is what I have personally done:-

This morning (27/07/2013, 11:48, GMT) I phoned UK Customer Support and spoke to a representative, I was told it would take up to 2 weeks, obviously this would mean in 3 days I would be unable to play. I explained the situation all of you and I was in, I agreed I was the one who entered the code but no information was present when entering to guide me through, when using 'add platform' it came up with a key page and looked like PS3 (platform to me and most of you means physical or framework http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computing_platform and not upgrade account!), personally decided to buy another key and apply it to the correct service account and the representative understood, kept apologising (really nice guy!) and will escalate the ticket requesting the second (Final Fantasy XIV 2) service account is refunded -ONLY- and allow my first (Final Fantasy XIV 1) will exist with my 180 subscription added.

Hope this helps others in some way, but bear in mind that it was my decision to buy another key as I did not want to lose my game time or service, while the representative agreed with the confusion and will escalate it is up to head office where this goes from here.

Partly because mode code did not work on "add platform" to my beta account, but then did work on "create new account"

Feel dumb, but blimey that's a confusing website to say the least (and 28 pages of others In the same situation confirms how confusing/ bad it is)

Another thing I'm wondering is what if I just play on the newly made account and they finally respond to my ticket, will they just merge it without asking prior making me lose my characters? Is there even a way to redact tickets?

I'm only showing up as 3 days left at the Mog Station and I can't add my window's key since it says its already registered to my account but I'm not getting the 30 days showing up? I've been in the beta but I was not a 1.0 player, does this mean I don't get my 30 days free? or Am I not doing something right? or this not showing up right? This is seriously really confusing...

I believe all you need to do is click Add Windows Service.

I did, it asks me to register my code, when I try to put my code in, I get the "this code has been registered already" (most likely due to EA)
