    PS3 stuck on Character Creation? HELP ME!

    I've tried signing out of PSN and unplugged the ethernet cable to see if that would exit or not but its still stuck! there's just a turning circle at the bottom right of the screen that keeps turning forever... Will i damage the game or PS3 if i exit to XMB or shut off the PS3 now?
