You announced character transfers. Will they be free?

I don't want to pay to transfer my character just because the server was full at launch. You are telling people to play on lower pop servers now and transfer servers later. Will the first server transfer be free?

If they don't offer them for free early on, probably not. It's looking like that won't be the case. They will probably continue to restrict servers til people get fed up and quit. At this point we can only surmise what's going to happen because they haven't told us anything.

I don't see why they wouldn't, they allowed people to play 1.0 for free for months. It's not like they are new to the whole give people free things deal. They are probably just waiting to announce it until they fix everything.

Unfortunately, your guess is as good as anyones. No one knows. I would suggest not registering your key immediately, and definitely not picking a subscription plan just yet, unless you are ok with paying for an undesirable experience with a total lack of communication from the developers.

I personally do not understand how they could have stuffed up so bad. Number one they put restrictions on the amount of characters created on servers so how the hell did the have a overload of players? Second how can the servers be overloaded when there is log in restriction ques in place to prevent that very thing from happening. To make matters worse they change the damn thing to no longer cue people (which seemed fool proof) in order to assure people can not log in. They also neglect to add any sort of idle kick function to combat congestion.

How the hell does not having a cue system help combat congestion when the cue is designed to both give players the chance to eventually play the game at all and limit the amount of players per server. Sorry SE apologists but SE sounds as dumb as hell on my end there is no excuse for this happening the way it has.

That is what I shall be doing. I will not register my key or sub or anything until this is fixed. Nor am I playing on another realm just to appease SE when my friends are on another realm, unless they offer FREE transfers, then I MIGHT consider it, however it's not likely going to work because it will be high -> low pop and my friends will be entrenched on the high pop realm. :s
