Login Restrictions!?

I can understand not adding new servers because they expect the population to even out over time, but theres no excuse for not having a queue system in a modern MMO. I don't care if I'm 1000th in line. I'd just like to know where I stand instead of force logging hundreds of times.

The even better part is the fact that it was easier to log in during open beta. Now it's launch and no one can even get into a queue? I can't even remember what I was excited for to begin with.

I don't have a problem with there being server restrictions to protect performance of the server, but the sheer amount of people who are getting shut out during US evenings is unacceptable. It is further being worsened by the fact that there is no fair system to get people into the game when there is space, and idle characters are holding up people who are ready to play.

You can't even blame people for AFKing in game because otherwise you don't have much of a chance of getting to play after you log. It's just poor planning.

By law, people that pay for access to a service must be provided that service or be compensated for their losses. Reasonable maintenance is exempt from this requirement, server failure do to poor planing isn't.

So Square Enix, do you understand?

Have they said anything about lifting the restrictions on making characters on full realms? I have friends joining, but they can't even play on my realm. This is an absolutely horrible idea.

When I tried earlier all NA/EU servers have character creation restriction which would imply they're full. They need more servers and to boot AFKers! I refuse to subscribe until these issues are sorted. I don't say that as a threat because I will eventually pay because this game is amazing, I'm just not willing to pay until I can actually get on and play without jackasses hogging the server space.

I've already read about so many people who have given up and gone back to a previous MMO. How many customers are they willing to loose. They can't even say its because servers are expensive because granted they allow people to play and fall in love with the game they'll surely make enough profit to cover server fees.
