Q1:- I had version 1.0 (legacy or not, doesn't matter) and bought the PS3 version, yet the Mog Station is only showing 15 or less days remaining! Shouldn't the free 30 days from buying the PS3 version be added?
A1:- Yes. There are two possible reasons why it won't show the additional 30 days though:
1 - If you bought FFXIV:ARR off the Playstation Network (PSN) itself, then re-login to the game from now until whenever you want. It will ask you to resync your accounts, and after doing so, it will add the 30 days from buyng the PS3 version on the Mog Station.
2 - If you bought the Physical or any non-PSN version of the PS3 game, you must wait until you get the box itself. Inside the box along with the instruction manual will be a leaflet containing the code. After applying the code, it will add the 30 days from buying the PS3 version on the Mog Station.
Q2:- I had version 1.0 (legacy or not, doesn't matter) and bought the PC version, yet it is only showing 15 or less days remaining! Shouldn't the free 30 days from buying the PC version be added?
A2:- Sadly, from everything I've read, no. If you had 1.0 and you buy any version of the PC edition, you will not get another 30 free days, you must buy the PS3 version to do so.
Q2.5:- Can't I just make a new PC account and get 30 free days on PC that way?
A2.5:- Yes, of course. Keep in mind that by doing so, all your characters and bonuses you got from 1.0 related things will NOT be available to you.
Q3:- I have a 1.0 account non CE, and I bought the PS3 CE edition. How can I apply the CE items to my 1.0 account?
A3:- You can, and here's how:
1 - If you bought FFXIV:ARR off the Playstation Network (PSN) itself, then re-login to the game from now until whenever you want. It will ask you to resync your accounts, and after doing so, it will show the CE items for your account on the Mog Station.
2 - If you bought the Physical or any non-PSN version of the PS3 game, you must wait until you get the box itself. Inside the box along with the instruction manual will be a leaflet containing the code. After applying the code, it will show the CE items on your account.
Q4:- I have a 1.0 account non CE, and I bought the CE PC edition for A Realm Reborn. How do I apply the PC CE items to my standard 1.0 account?
A4:- You can't. SE has not made this possible yet, and has not said anything if they will in the future. You will either need to make a new account to get the CE items, or return it, get your money back, and buy the PS3 version if you want to apply the CE bonuses to your 1.0 account.
Q5:- What happens if it only shows 4 or less days remaining, and the only code you registered was the preorder code?
A5:- 4 or less days remaining means that you are not a 1.0 player (no free 15 days), and you only got the preorder but have yet to register the full game. The full game is what gives the 30 free days of gametime. The "Early Access" period was extended until August 30th according to a post on the Lodestone, meaning that in 4 or less days (depending on the date you read this) Early Access expires for you. You need to register the official code once you get it to get your 30 free days.
Q6:- I have two service accounts (system is irrelevant), and plan on using the product code from my already purchased copy for Account "A". I initially planned on purchasing another product code from SE for the Account "B" at launch, but I haven't heard or seen any info regarding when I'll be able to do that. I just hope that Account "B" will remain intact (with all characters) until I can purchase another code.
A6:- Yes, Account "B" will have all your previous characters still, SE will not delete any characters no matter how long an account is inactive. Also, You can apply any code to any account at any time after August 27th in your region, so long as there isn't maintenance or the like. The only reason you couldn't get a code from SE itself is if SE has literally stopped selling keys for a brief period of time because they are sold out.
Again, I will add more questions as they come up. Ask away.
