Wait... what?
I logged in and now it says select a service account and I have the options of FFXIV 1 or FFXIV 2. I'm afraid to click either one... What in the world does it mean and what will happen if I click either one? D:

It means you added something to andifferent service account. All your original stuff should be on your first service account. What did you recently add to the game? COllectors edition? I hope you read the warning from SE on the login screen.
As an aside, you can disable the second service account on the SE account management website.
Edit: whatever you added you should have added to the original service account. Just think of it as two FF accounts for one square enix account.

I did not read the warning, unfortunately how do i say this... square enix has a very UNIQUE account system which basically is asking you to screw up like this, example when you have a huge box at the top with CREATE ACCOUNT vs small button on existing service account with no text which one are people going to click?
oh geeze I really do wonder....
anyway I went to https://support.eu.square-enix.com/c...83&la=2&daxx=2
this looks like a form for just this problem.... you know cause there expecting this... im sorry I must be stupid but iv never come across a system where you have multiple accounts under a single account... if i wanted to log into two different characters at the same time... id make two different accounts whats the point in streamlining this?
its not like I share bonuses making the entire system pointless, unless your too stupid to remember more than one set of account details and password
The problem is - within the e-mail from retailers with the activation codes, and the corresponding links held within, that warning that's on the login screen of the game client is no where to be found. And considering that 'Add a New Service Account' is the only labeled button in the account screen you get brought to, I think it's a bit unrealistic to tell someone they 'should have' done anything in regards to this. I'm kinda speechless about how hilariously bad this this is on SE's account... it's like a punchline with the current server issues. It means you added something to andifferent service account. All your original stuff should be on your first service account. What did you recently add to the game? COllectors edition? I hope you read the warning from SE on the login screen.

Do they test their procedures with people?
Do they think that the problem is explained here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/68792 ?
- If your account has only one FINAL FANTASY XIV service account, please select that option to continue. ?????????
I'm another one that AFTER READING THE "WARNING" has created a new sub-account inside my account.
Ticket already sent.
Please bring images to explain how it should be done and/or blocked multiple sub-accounts till weekend.
sigh me as well,
honestly I can't believe they don't have a huge button saying ADD CODE and have a tiny side button for segmenting your account
I really don't understand why they would do that? I didn't even look at the forums, just the email. I guess I clicked the wrong thing and now I have 2 accounts. One with pre order only and one with collectors. I'm really annoyed.
So, I guess I have to submit a ticket. Lovely.
The site is poorly constructed and is designed in such a way that it isn't obvious how to add a product to your account without making a new service account. Its sad, since so far FFXIV is an absolutely amazing game, but everything about the game outside of the gameplay itself is making the launch a poor experience. I have high hopes for the game, but if the rumors of losing the 30 days of subscription time for this mistake are true, I'll be extremely disappointed in Square Enix.
Im in the same issue here. Currently in queue 152th waiting time keep on changing only have 1 hour till their support close.![]()
I guess I'm not the only one who did this.
The problem is there is nothing to update or input in the CE code for the current service account.
So there only left "add a platform" and "add a new service"
From those two..... i choose add a new service Orz
