lost the sithe cat

I claimed my sithe cat doll added him to the hotbar he never showed up and When i click his button says i do not it. but even my lodestone shows i have him. how do I get him back

Did you use the item you got? And saw it show up among Minions?
And dragged from Minions to the hotbar?
