Currently use the Keyboard and Mouse, the layout is like that of other games I played. Just have to get used to all the keyboard shortcuts.
Game pad, though I'm more used to the feel of the keymouse from other games. I feel like the gamepad is more engaging, but sometimes I find myself targeting things I don't want. I need to mess with my target filters and such.
Found it way to hard to tank with a controller when there is more than 3 mobs at once. Switched back to keyboard and mouse for tanking.
I use a Controller and I like it. It does take some getting use to.
Played beta and still using gamepad. Have not had any issues at all. Maybe not 100% efficient as k+m. But it has not slowed me down in the least. So far I've done lots of instances with Conj + Glad. The more difficult for game pad I understand. As a tank, you can tab over to the next mob very easy with just the dpad left or right. It only stays for one attack then you focus back on your mob. Very efficient way of tabbing. And healing, change the way your character targets, and you only have to use up and down on the dpad. Again, lock on your tank with the A button (x ps3) and it will stay on him, and you can tab for a one time use just by using dpad up and down on any one else that happened to take damage. Ive had a blast with a controller and lots of people are quite impressed how this game works for it.
Also for a tank, I suggest you turn auto sheath off. So when your running in dungeons you press L3(left click) and you can draw your weapon. In your character configuration, you can change it so you only select enemies when this happens. Great way to do this, never have to deal with cycling of party.
This also works for healing as well. Just reverse it so you only target party members and not enemies.
I bet some people like one and some other people like the other.
I wish I could use a gamepad, but I chat way too much for it to be practical. The combat speed is definitely paced so that controller users aren't at any disadvantage, when coupled with the nifty gamepad UI.
I use all three
