And to add insult to injury, the server's always full when I try to get back in, but that's a whole other problem I'm sure will be dealt with in time. I don't know what the deal is at all with the laggy NPCs and animations, as my machine exceeds the system requirements, and the game ran great for me in phase 3 and 4.
It can't be that obscure, people are coming out of the woodwork to complain about it. And I think the problem is made a lot worse by the congestion and the 1017s, you don't really notice crash bugs that much if they don't basically boot you from the server for hours because you can't log back in immediately.
