Yea im seriously rethinking getting the game because of this exact thing, i get off work and try to relax and play and Goblin is full. Its bullshit and SE expects people to pay for something that you have to wait to enjoy?

Yeah, if things are already this bad with "only" Early Access people logging in, it's gona be a nightmare after launch. Unless SE pulls out some servers out of a hat really soon.
I didn't have to work today so i got in a good run.
So I logged out.
Have fun!
If you re-read the original post, OP seems to be suggesting that he shouldn't have logged out at all and just sat there AFK'ing all day to guarantee him a spot later.
... which only makes things worse.
No leeching, No PL'ing, just 100% playing the game.
Personally I think about staying logged but since I have a slightly older mobile video card, my room will be forever noisy and uncomfortably hot with no AC on. But that's not the main reason. My main reason is that there really is no reason to just randomly go AFK for No Reason, so I log out and hopefully a poor soul can get a few hours of game time in while I come back and whine at myself for being a goody goody and logging out. But you know what? I see it as letting someone else get a chance to play while reminding me that well it's a game and there are other things I can do.
Just logged out on Hyperion. I hope whoever takes my spot makes good use of the time.
Seriously though, people like the OP are part of the problem. Yes, it sucks that server populations are capped and that we can't all get onto the servers we rolled on at the same time. It sucks that there's a wait. But people who try to "beat the system" by logging on and idling afk for the duration of the day while they're at work/school are being ridiculous. It's an exceedingly selfish point of view that promotes that behavior, and I, personally, am glad for each of you like that who can't get in.
Protip: Don't log out and enjoy the game after you're done with work.

You all have it backwards...
You think:
SE sets lower player cap -> The kind caring anonymous people of the internet remove their spot so that others have a better chance to log in. -> Anon is generous by nature
Reality:
SE Lowers Player cap -> people AFK so they can have a spot when they get back -> even more people get blocked out causing them to do the same thing once they're in
It's certainly a vicious cycle.^ This ^
