Hi all. As i understand, servers are locked from character creation when there are too many simultaneous users on at once. Once that traffic dies down, they are supposed to open up so that new characters can be made. The problem with this is that Gilgamesh, Leviathan, and Moogle haven't been open for character creation since Early Access started, because so many people are afraid of not being able to log in that they're staying permanently logged.
Now go figure, some of my friends played on Leviathan during phase 4 and we decided to all join up there, except I'm one of the few people in my little group to miss the boat and now I'm stuck here playing the waiting game. My question to you guys, since SE doesn't seem to be present on this forum whatsoever, is.. Do you think these highly popular servers will open up anytime soon? I wouldn't even care if i couldn't play at this point, as long as I could create my character at all. Something tells me that this may go on for more than a week. I'm not sure I have the patience to wait that long and I would rather not just start on any ol' random server all alone.
Locking out people from character creation is completely ridiculous. What's going to happen tomorrow when people get locked out from playing with their already established friends, as servers are packed to the brim with new players? Are we supposed to just wait it out for a few weeks and hope we get the chance to make a character? It's just really upsetting.
This is probably one of the worst launches I've been a part of, because they're outright restricting my ability to play with my friends. It's not reasonable to ask them to all change servers for me when they've already made so much progress. Perhaps I'm in the minority, so people won't care to acknowledge this issue on the level that it needs to be recognized. I hope SE is listening, though. Please share your thoughts.
PS. I know this is a tech support forum, but I can't post in general due to the crazy character level requirement. It's almost as if they're saying that character level = better feedback.
