NVIDIA SHIELD - Working!

yea shield is playing this game flawless. The first MMO to be played on a portable device I believe. I hope the community discovers this thread and gets a Nvidia Shield. Its a really impressive device. Playing FF14 anywhere in the house is really really cool.

I was playing FFXI and WoW over 3g on my iPad many years ago using "everyair" =P

Thought I would follow up:

I have experimented with the remote play capability and its pretty impressive. The risk of disconnects is a bit higher but 60ms delay in responsiveness is hardly noticable. I tethered my 4G connection and it was super smooth. Also tried wifi in a few other locations and it was very playable.

I will caution, I have worn out the A button on two shiekds already (both replaced advanced rma, prepaid return shipping).

as for this game I still prefer my vita and the ps4, the shield is interesting but I already have enough devices to do what it can from iphone and ipad to an MS Surface pro to a ps4 and vita so I am not terribly impressed. The delay is tolerable so I am sure the vita and the shield provide pretty much the same and for crafting I much prefer to just log in using the MS surface pro or stream to my Ipad and just push the buttons on the screen easily as it lays beside me while I read or do work.

And I was being cool playing this on my iPhone in the parking lot... well not so much playing as just fishing lol.

I'd rather play it from my monster laptop at ultra-high everything.

PSVita might be interesting tho', but I don't plan to get a PS4 just for that.

Guys,

Whenever I launch FFXIV in Steam Big Picture mode I lose focus of the launch window and focus goes back to Steam while the launch goes to the background and there is no way to re-focus to the launcher window and login to the game.

Any facing that problem? How do you fix this?
