I kept getting interference on the 2.4ghz, so I bought an Asus rt-ac66u, running dd-wrt. Running the matched pci-e card in my desktop with a 680. As long as it can pick up the router its completely playable with no lag.
Splice I haven’t actually checked anything on the latency but the reviews on the app said low to almost no latency.
Rtpsoulx it works quite well it bugged out on me yesterday when they wanted to update the patch on FF 14 and it wouldn’t let me click anything because I count see the menus. 3g/4g don’t work as well as wireless unless it’s just my phone that’s not letting it work properly I am also in a dungeon and barley get signal sometimes too. But using the Wi-Fi at work it works out very nicely.
Sorry it took so long to respond to you both.
I'm just going to call it now. This marks the beginning of the end for turtle-heading in dungeons.
As a follow up, I did the ifrit hard mode fight, and dodged every eruption, jump, and plume with ease.

HeavensWard theme song lyrics:
-"We can [Stance]dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't [Stance]dance
And if they don't [Stance]dance
Well they're no friends of mine"

i can't seem to configure FFXIV for an XINPUT controller. I tried using motionjoy and x360ce, but neither program (nor FFXIV) detects a controller loaded. any hints on how to go about doing that, google is giving me far too much old information.
UPDATE: So i wasn't able to figure out the XINPUT stuff, but i just connected another controller to the PC that FFXIV did see, and then it allowed the shield to be used in that controller's place (It actually sees both the shield and the controller, but you have to have the controller selected, the shield option doesn't work).
