Wtf, this is the most redicoulous post I've ever read, I can only assume its a joke.I don't want to know your life story. All I am saying is that I want to get all my good gear easier! This game is soo hard as it is. I don't have time to do all those hard NMS, and 8 people party isin't enough people! Also I paid like 75 bucks for this game, SE needs to listen to my ideas because I know they are so good!
Typical attitude...Sad thing that majority of those 7 billion are dumb

mmo's need to be layered for both types of gameplay. my biggest problem is them turning everything into solo play instead of party play just so casuals can go do something without any motivation to get a group going.
the game should have option from solo threw it to party play and challenging. and with rewards to afflect witch ones you did or if did all options even as well.
someone mentioned that most mmo's are casual these days, also non of them keep a player playing it for that long anymore. if a mmo can't hold down the "hard core" in there game, it is already a failed game that no matter how many casuals are in it, i think is on a path to die out quicker.
either way mmo devs need to find an equal balance, create mulitple servers for there different types of players, or slap a label that says this is causal or hardcore so they don't waist peoples times.
from what i understand like gw2 will have zones that are all solo an zones that are all party play, i can see something like campaign battles being 50/50 like this.
this game will in our future either become more and more easier or harder with each expansion, probably depending on it's players that are here, but from the looks at this post and from what we have so far, it will be non challenging at all. but i can't say till we see some real content, and they fixing leves, so this looks like a good direction for bringing back sp grinding, though i don't know if it's to fix party play. we'll have to see i guess.
I'm a casual player and a hardcore one, it just depends on my time. And I can't speak for all casual players, but I do not feel that I should have the best gear in the game. I do agree that the more time you spend the better the rewards should be. However, I do believe that the game should be accessible and that I shouldn't have to commit 2 or more hours to the game a day just to play it. So when I see casual friendly, I see there are lots of things to do in the game to progress, from quests, farming, story, party, to just solo play for 30 minutes or more a day.First things first, Casuals do not = hardcore players. Even Yoshi agrees.
So what's the deal? Why is it that casual players feel that they should have the same awesome gear that the hardcore players have? This is absolutely beyond me. The more effort you put into something the greater the reward.
A hardcore player should have all this and more, as they will progress much faster then that of the casual player, but in no way should I ever login to the game, and since I can't get into a party, I have to wait until I can just to progress.
The simple fact is that both the casual player and the hardcore player need each other in the game. They are not against each other, but in fact are for each other. Hardcore players need casual players to buy items from them, thus stimulating the economy. And casual players need hardcore to help motivate them forward with tales of adventure and epic gear that gives the casual player a goal.

why dont the casuals go play casual games like pacman or street fighter. to have 2 types of game play on one game is stupid. whats the point of spending hours trying to get aswsome special item. when your "CASUAL" can do the same in less time with less effort. kinda makes the guy working hard look like an ass dosent it.

Yes I do have a My Little Pony sig because I'm not a complete loser who lives in his own little world, proclaiming something is stupid because I say so.
Can't we just drop the "Casual vs Harcore" discussion already?
People are entitled to gear as compensation for the effort they put into it. Nothing more, nothing less... It has nothing to do with being "casual" or "hardcore". You need to work for it, just like in the real world. Don't want to make your own sandwich? You can always go out and buy a club sandwich at the local store, but i can tell you that it will taste a whole lot better if you had made one yourself.
Companies like Square Enix, Blizzard, NCSoft, Trion Worlds, etc need to tailor their games for a wide varierity of consumers to make it popular and last for years. There will always be a need for both easy and difficult content. And seriously, why would that be a problem? Because it would be to easy for player a? Too difficult for player b? Requires too much effort for player c? Will take too long before decent content is implemented for player d?
No matter how you look at it, someone will be dissapointed about something... That's life for ya...

either way easy game is like paying for gear, go play a cash shop game or buy dlc from non mmo games and you can prance around in your gear all you want. stop holding onto your past, your doing both life and gaming mediocre rather then one or the other correctly.
besides games are supposed to get more and more complex as years go by not easier. its how it seems to be moving ....but not for the games where they can suck you dry of another 16bucks a month?, hmmm.

This casual vs hardcore thing is stupid i hate hearing this comparison, I walked into gamestop today and heard some people talking about this hardcore vs casuals has so many different meanings to people its retarded.
So one guy in game stop says he's hardcore gamer cause he plays CoD... Then the other guys says well i like CoD but i am an hardcore SSB player(Super smash bro's) so the other guy says that game cant be hardcore cause it has jigglypuff in it... So now depending on what and who's in your game make's it hardcore now?
Then on these forums people are saying being hardcore is how much time you spend in a game.....cause then some of these arguments don't make sense some of you in other thread's was stating doing time sinks doesn't make you hardcore but spending a lot of time in game does... seems like the same thing to me.
Now i don't think this is the correct way to differ hardcore and casual so here is a shot: My friend is a hardcore sonic player, while i am not, He learns the in's and out's of the level's and try to beat them in the fastest times possible like he beat the new sonic demo on XBL in 57's in 5 tries and says it can't be done faster. Me i just play the game to play the game... So that's how i figure out how the difference between hardcore and casuals are.
Hardcore: People who willing to learn in's and out's of a game and learn all of its mechanics.
Casual: People who just want to play the game for what it is on the outside and not get all technical with it.
You must not be very good at this history thing, are you? There are quite a few genres where simplistic games beat out over the complex by miles. The Lego series, Angry Birds, Ragnarok Online, TMNT:Turtles in Time. There's plenty more.either way easy game is like paying for gear, go play a cash shop game or buy dlc from non mmo games and you can prance around in your gear all you want. stop holding onto your past, your doing both life and gaming mediocre rather then one or the other correctly.
