ugh when did i do that? if u feel that way, i apologized because it wasnt intentional.
however i still want my proof of "I want to login an hour a week and have the same stuff as the person that plays 8 hours a day" , lol.

That's just how the people sound....all of the whining and griping comes across like that, that was my point...it wasn't meant to be a direct quote or anything man.
i see, i guess we just interpret stuff differently.![]()
FFXI is lowering Pop times for all NM's. There wont be 24hr NM's anywhere ever AGAIN. Thank god.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
Know what will make everything better?
honestly guys and gals.
threads like this are a bunch of bs, that only just cause needless drama.
Stop trying to catagorize players on sides. casual vs hardcore, troll, vs fan boy/girl. Sorry but can everyone please take a pause read everything all over again and ask yourself: "is this worth saying?. Most every reply on here I just want to see it get shreaded. Everyone who buys a game, no matter how much time they get to play perday/week, should have equal opprotunity to do or get anything this game has to offer. We bought a video game more better a FF mmo to enjoy. You self proclaimed hardcore players have no idea why a player might be casual. I started ffxi as a "casual" player as in 2 hrs aday, this wasn't by choice. After hitting 30 and rank 2 in windurst, I noticed I couldn't do much in ffxi. I tried to get stuff planed but I was at the mercy of sharing the ps2 and internet so i couldn't always set up times. That was the ffxi flaw (continue in next post)
as I was writing, ffxi flaw was after a while, stuff took so much time to do. Like all the traveling for windurst missions added up, And by the time we got to the fight I had to log. This got annoying, I wasn't after the best gear or anything just trying to increase my rank to unlock airships.
Also for the record, you guys think gear shouldn't be handed to people, as nice as that is there is a flaw with this. How can a person who is only on say, 2 hours a day, even remotly gets a "chance" at getting this gear? With the way you guys sound no casual should even get a chance at the "epic" gear. You guys want stuff to be time consuming as a challenge rather then the actual event or fight. Plus what do you think will happen when jobs and gear start to change, where classes start to become more defined? You guys will start "requiring" certain gear inorder get groups. And if a casual has no chance at that gear, what do they get to do? They get to hear you complain how lazy you think they are. (continued)
Am I asking gear to be easy, no i'm not but everyone should get a chance to try and get gear. This is first and formost a game. We are player who buy and enjoy them. The only challenge should be the fights and events. Not the time you must play to get them. Time don't equal difficaulty.
All i want is to stop seeing petty fights over the stupidest stuff. Who cares how much time a person can play an mmo. We all paid for it. Why should anything be limited to those who got more time then others.
And for the record, my adverage ffxi play time was 12-20 hours a day. And i don't act like i'm better then anyone just because I get to play more.
Can we just please stop these player wars, it really annoying to see adults act like children over digital items in a game meant for fun and enjoyment.
Casual: People who realize that this and other games are just that - games. They typically are pursuing a college degree, or otherwise working a full time job. These people want to log on and just have some fun.
Hardcore: People who have no real life obligations, and therefore view the game as most casual players would real life. They think the game matters, and so want to be better than everyone in the virtual world because they are neckbeards in real life.
So a 'Casual' could still be better than a 'Hardcore' player? Whaat?
From what I understand, a 'Casual' player was someone who spent low amounts of time playing a game (30 minutes - 2 hours) generally slow progression, not looking to do hard content, etc.
Hardcore players playing generally longer, spend more time trying to complete hard content, etc.
Also, saying that, it doesn't mean that ALL Hardcore players have no life, and it doesn't mean all Casual players don't try hard.
When I used to play WoW, I would always try my hardest to get into raids (although most of the time I didn't)
I really think 'Hardcore' and 'Casual' are extremes. -- Barely anyone I know fit into these stereotypes.
People who want to be 'Casual' need to understand that they most likely won't be able to experience all content, while 'Hardcore' players need to understand that just because they spent more time on a game, doesn't make them a better person, they just get to experience the harder content.
Easy Content = Rewards
Hard content = Better rewards
Easy content should never have the same rewards as Hard content otherwise there is no reason for the hard content.
-- Your generalisations are making you look bad.
Someone may play the game longer than you, that doesn't mean they have no life? Maybe they have nothing better to do?
Whats even worse is seeing adults act like children in a game that isn't at its greatest for gear that pretty much sucks lol.
