AFK PC's eating up spots on server

Not exactly sure why there was a lack of oversight to implement an afk timer as FFXI and many other MMO's have one to prevent players from occupying space on servers when they are inactive for extreme periods of time. Especially during times like this where servers have pretty extreme limitations on log-ins, it's a bit frustrating knowing that there are probably a hundred or more players afk in the main city somewhere.

Unfortunately, you're going to get a lot of replies from people who feel that they paid to be able to play the game and should be entitled to stay logged in for all eternity if they so desire.

But those same people will complain if they aren't able to log in.

Their arguement would be piss-poor at best. WoW has an afk auto-kick feature, and nobody complains. Funny how Yoshi used WoW as inspiration and yet his people left that out.

Until they fix the servers people like me will continue to eat up a spot on the server, sorry but that is the luck of the draw. Yes I have been AFK for 6.5 hours and will be for 4 more until I am home from work. Sorry but that is the luck of the draw. Call me a dick call me a jerk I dont care, until SE fixes these issues I will continue to do so. I logged out vehemently until yesterday when I spent 6 hours getting 1017 due to this. So since others decide that its ok to do this I have as well.

In all seriousness, my PC has been on all day while I'm at work, and I don't intend on ever logging out, either. SE needs to do something about their hardware, or else everyone is going to be doing like us. That won't really make for a nice launch, but them's the breaks.

People will not logout and actually can you blame them? The servers have issues and until they are fixed people will remain reluctant to even logout and relogin to get their pre-order/collector edition items. I wasn't able to play all Saturday and Sunday because of these issues and today I was lucky enough to get on the servers before peak hours. I probably won't be logging out at all today.

You honestly can't blame players that stay AFK you need to blame SE work on the matter, no queues to login? come on... just a message saying it's full try again later? you really think people who are already logged into a world would just log out to see a 6h+ waiting to log in again?

Sorry it won't happen, im logged out, can't login and if I knew they were about to do this, I wouldn't have logged out yesterday, It's not being selfish, you're just pretty much asking, please log out so I can play and you don't, do you somehow for any reason have more right to play than I for instance? well No, so It's no point on arguing about AFKers as it will happen and will continue too until the real ones to blame fix things, SE.

Don't take this as a Rage on anyone, just my opinion on the deal, also I'm a bit frustrated as many more are for sure, that I payed for a service that's pretty much saying to me, no can do, maybe later.
